 God's very essence is giving.  

God gives life. (Genesis 2:7) God gave Jesus Christ to the world. (Romans 3:25) Giving is an act of worship. (1 Corithians 3:16) God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7) God gives wisdom. (James 1:5)  God gives the gift of healing (1 Corinthians 12:9) God gives eternal life (Romans 6:23)
